A really great, family-run hotel with chic and charm. Very good internet, more than enough parking spaces, excellent breakfast and restaurant, everything in a very quiet location! The perfect place for vacation and business trip alike!

Quiet at the Kocher, in the middle of the Hohenloher natural landscape. The restaurant looks very inviting with its simple elegance. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous. The daily changing dishes and menus with seasonal and local ingredients are very tasty and lovingly prepared and served. We were very surprised in terms of price, because they are by no means overpriced for such an ambience and service. As soon as the 2 ° lockdown is over, we will stop here again. Until then, we wish the staff and the owners that they can survive this lockdown time as unscathed as possible.

Very nice and new, tasteful spa area with indoor and outdoor pools and various saunas; Nice overall atmosphere - good restaurant, but price-performance ratio a bit unbalanced. Very nice staff.

A very nice hotel in the upper price range. Everything was very tastefully decorated (we had a newly renovated comfort room). The indoor and outdoor spa area was modern, well-kept and very clean. The 4 course menu was high quality and very tasty. So if you want to treat yourself to something special, you are in good hands here.

I work at the castle hotel. And have the opportunity to try some of the food, and I have to say that it tastes really delicious. I'm not just saying this because I work there, it's just that.

Beautifully located, family-run hotel in the dreamy Kochertal. The mix of offers is fantastic. On the one hand the great wellness area, on the other hand the very good kitchen with super creative menus where special requests are gladly accepted. The Dumler family and their ghosts are also very big, really sensational. We will come back. Thank you for the brilliant stay with you.

Special ambience in a castle, nice staff. Food was delicious. We had a junior suite, which was newly renovated - nice room. Wellness area rather small, ie it can be a bit tight on the weekend or in bad weather - even in Corona times. Overall, we felt very comfortable.

Unfortunately an absolute flop and not to be recommended. We originally planned to celebrate our wedding with around 90 guests in this hotel. Already 18 months before the celebration, we signed a contract and transferred a deposit with the owner. Unfortunately, 9 months before the celebration we were informed by a note in the email signature that the renovation of the event hall was planned for August 2020, whereupon we asked whether the celebration could take place in September 2020. Only after this request was we informed that the wedding was suddenly no longer possible. As a result, the invitations that had already been printed could no longer be used by the guests (due to the address of the location). Unfortunately, the costs for this were only taken over after a long back and forth and 6 more weeks. For us, unfortunately, a lot of effort without result! Supplement to the owner's answer. That's right, it wasn't 9 months, but 11 I made a mistake. However, it is not easy to find a suitable location for almost 100 guests less than 12 months in advance. Of course, I still have the mail history available, which is why I know that we initially received a note about the renovation in Aug 2020. However, no indication whether this affects the planned celebration or not! We were only informed of this on request by email! I would be happy to send you the mail history. By concluding a legally binding contract (signature and deposit), both parties declare that they are ready to adhere to it. By canceling, you have to bear the resulting damage / costs. This was confirmed to us by our RA. As a result, you were also obliged to replace the invitations you had already bought. One could have done much better with transparent communication. Of course, some messages cannot be conveyed “well”. However, to present it as if you had flawlessly and generously shows (despite the very beautiful location) that it was good not to host the wedding with you.

The atmosphere of the house inspires from the first minute. Well-equipped rooms and a lovingly refurbished wellness area complete the hotel's concept. Warm service and excellent local, sustainable cuisine make this wonderful castle hotel a very special gem. I will gladly come again.

We were not in the hotel, only food. Under the new kitchen management from Heiner Bohnet, the dishes on offer seduce all the senses! Fresh, honest and top quality, solidly crafted and lovingly presented! Incredible in the price / performance ratio!

great hotel with a super nice new spa area. The service was super friendly and the food delicious. We also had a brand new and large room with lots of thoughtful details. We'll definitely be back soon :)

A short break for two (3 nights) with 3/4 board, foot massage (30 minutes / person) in a double room. Beautiful hiking trails throughout the area.

we were already guests at Schloss Döttingen before Corona. We really enjoyed it, the food was delicious, the service friendly and courteous. A big plus is the beautifully designed wellness area with indoor pool and natural swimming pond in the outside area. The rooms are also well designed with small details that make your stay even more enjoyable. We would love to come back!

super nice hotel with a new great SPA area. The wellness garden is a dream with the natural swimming pond. The staff, especially the two junior managers, are super friendly and courteous. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back.

Been her on recommendation for dinner. Food just took off the roof. Absolutley astonishing. We all have eaten far worse for far more money. Real freaking cuisine was served. Quality was way beyond the explainable We will come back for sure, drinks and staff were also on high standards. What a great place, what a marvelous site!

Chefkoch miserable and unfriendly. The Manageress was superficial ( oberflächlich). Food was ok , service ok , but the bosses walked around like they were starting the 4th Reich. I never want to step into this hotel again, likewise , never want to see the management. Truly awful people. How people want to work there is beyond me.

I was in a 3 day seminar in this hotel. The room I stayed in was excellent ... relatively newly renovated and didn't miss anything. Nicely decorated in calm tones. The first night was not that great ... shortly before midnight I was woken by an annoying whistling sound, which probably came from the water pipes ... this didn't stop until the morning when the showers were in use. So I spent the night with ear plugs and meditation music from my cell phone to mask the noise. The second night was great. The food was good ... the portions could have been bigger.

Good breakfast. Comfy room. No reception after 10pm.
